The Ca2 schedule has been realeased, and it will span to next thursday.

Monday-English(7.40 to 8.30)and Mother tongue(as per stated by your MT teachers)

Tuesday-- science-biology(0740 to 0825)

Wednesday-- Maths(0740 to 0820)

Thursday-- History(0740 to 0815)

for english, newspaper report will be tested.
for science, we will be tested on diffusion, osmosis, transport in plant and transport in man.
for Maths, we will be tested on set language and notation, graphs of quadratic equations, graphs of linear equations in two unknowns and also volume and surface area of cones and sphere.
For Mother tongue, the topics to study are as taught and instructed by your teachers
for history, it will be on source based questions so just read the textbook chapter 1-4 and take note of key events. Mr daryl tan said that no memorisation is required.

Okay, very sorry for the no updates, sorry Mr Lee, as I had many CCA pracs due to the upcoming SYF that i seriously had not time to update the blog, terribly sorry.

All of you should know now about the maths homeworks, if you still did not know, please go to the VS web to check. E-learning starts tomorrow too so wake up early at 8am to prepare for the works to be done. CE project deadline is next week, remember, including Geog's proposal thing, must present by next week. Ok, sorry for the long "never update" period, probably we were all busy preparing for the CAs. Now before going to the HW, just some replies to the tags:

Ok, so how has the CA1 been? Tough, easy? Chem should be ok right? Literature is so-so... English is easy and Geography for me is *dead*. Ok, CA1 is over so you guys can relax a little, but not overboard. Remember to do your OPW parts, by now you should be doing part 3 already.

Homework and reminders:

1) A10, Ex 3h, Q 10, 11, 12, 13, 14. Pass up on Monday

2) D and T remember to do your research on 2 types of mechanism which you are going to imply to your diorama. Also remember to do your simple small mechanism thing.

Hi everyone, its been long since this blog has been updated so i ahve come to do so, before that, just some replies to ppl on chatbox:

Jaryll: Please stop giving useless comments. When people never post, doesnt mean they are ignoring you, probably they did not even visit the class blog or they think that your requests are a waste of their time. Control yourself and make relavent comments, though i am not restricting you to your continuation on tagging. Thanks.

Zhao: Okay, whenever you ask for homework, dun just say "Aie! Gimme the homework." At least add a please in front and that will probably not make us feel that you are demanding us to do something. But overall, heheh, Muhaimin is a little wrong in that sense, probably annoyed by Jaryll, but ya, so i will post the homework, try to, since the recent homework load is quite much. And also, pls pay attention in class so that if we don' post, you can still refer to notes that you yourself wrote down. Thanks.

Thats all, and for those who did not come to school today, we had our first mass lecture for our OPW. Its about the making and meaning of Katong. The notes, as i heard, will be up on VS site, if not you can always refer to your group, they probably have took down notes, actually almost everyone did. And also, pls finish your proposal for the OPW, though i don' know when is the deadline. Here are the steps to go into the OPW thing and the place where you can type your proposal.

Step 1: Go to VS site at www.vs.moe.edu.sg

Step 2: Click on the link as shown in the pic below.

Step 3: You should reach the log-in page as shown in the pic below. Once logged-in, click on PW2009_2C

Step 4: Follow the link as shown in the pic below, click on PW STAGES, then click on Bid Project.

Step 5: Click on Propose New

Step 6: Type in your proposal there, title, abstract (i dont know what that it is) and a detailed description on what your trail is going to be. Then you can submit.

Hey all, there is only one homework and the projects is up to you.

1) Common Wealth essay. Topics should be with you. Must be 500 to 700 words, please hand up to Mrs Rama by the Friday 30th of January. Dont make it hard for her ok? She is oredi trying her best to teach us, just spare a thought of sympathy for her! You wont sleep in class if you actually LISTEN. SO JUST LISTEN TO HER DURING LESSON OR ELSE.

2) Maths project, science project.. etc etc.

3) Ooh, forgot this. D&T homework. DRaw 5 random pictures with 1 or 2 point perspectives.

Our class deco has been graded by the judge that walked past at around 10.20am. I had planned to bribe him but unfortunately, he judged our class pretty fast. Darn it, we would have won if I had like given him 50 bucks. LOL.

Hi everyone, i think my posts shall frequently skip to the homeworks and reminders, since i have got nothing to say.

Homework:

1) Maths Textbook Review Questions 1 (A3) Q11(ii), Q 12(b), Q18, Q19, Q21

Reminders:

1) Mrs Rama gave us a paper briefing us on the Blog project. This is some of the important contents of the paper. The blog project actually should start on the 17th January and ends on the 29 January. Each entry should be at least 250 words. You should include medias and also insert a tag board for comments. The tag board can be found at www.cbox.ws. The entries should be writen in the form of personal recount, using the details of events for the day (what, when, how, where) No slang, vulgarities or ungrammatical constructions should be used. The 5 entries can be based on these themes:

1) something unusual that happened that day

2) a difficulty you faced

3) a moment you enjoyed with your family

4) something that took place in school

5) a moment you spent alone doing something that you enjoyed

This whole assignment constitutes 50% of CA1 marks

2) Those who were absent today, there had been a Math's test, but you didnt come so there will be a re-test for you guys after school i think, confirm with Zhong Ting through the blog or ask him if you come tomorrow.

3) Tomorrow have to pass up the lit essay to Mr Tan, remember to do ar! (even i forgot...)

Hi everyone. As usual, allow me to skip to the homework and reminders.

Homework:

1) Maths Textbook Ex 1C, Q8, 11, 19, 20, 21. Its A2, hand in on Wednesday.

2) D & T, research homework, all the worksheets that the teacher gave to you, allocate jobs and research accordingly.

Reminders:

1) The TfU test has been changed to 20th January, since Mr Low announced that 28th would be a full day off thanks to the previous Sec 4 batch.

2) Next Monday come to school at 9.30, not 7.

3) The first reminder already said that 28th January is a holiday so don't come to school

4) For Chinese students, HCL, There will be a composition on Friday so remember to bring your Compo book, no need to bring your textbooks too.

5) Tomorrow got Maths Test on Congruence only!

Hi, great to see that the class comm has started to post on the blog. For this post, let me just skip the the homework and reminders part.

Homework:

1) Geography Workbook pg 11 - 12

Reminders:

1) This is about the Maths TfU project. I'm just going to type what you are supposed to find out, since all of you have the rubrics. You are supposed to measure the diameter of the big school crest, not your school badge, and you are to come up with 2 methods on solving the question from chapter 1, means you cannot use any other methods. Once you have the 2 methods, decide on 1 to use it. Put all of your findings on a big display board, measuring 50 x 80 cm. Be sure to find some time to work together. The deadline is on 29th January at 3pm.

2)This is about the Chemistry TfU project. Remember that the questions are in your Chem PRACTICAL book on page 3, 4, 5. You are supposed to research on the experiment you are assigned to, and each member is to do only 1 experiment each. Thereafter, you are all supposed to come up and present your findings individually. You are allowed to make amendments to your work even after seeing everyone's presentation. The form of presentation and other instructions can be found in your practical book. Be sure to complete it on time, you know how scary Ms Gloria can get...

3) This is about your English Blog Project, please start your blog project quickly as i heard that the deadline is either Thursday or Friday. How to insert pics and music, etc chatboard, please during EL lab session come look for me and dun slack around then after the whole session then you come to me asking if i can teach you or not. The HTML stuff is complicated so i cant just tel you through word of mouth, i have to show so that you understand. Overall, do not take for granted since Mrs Rama is old and cant really scold. Just finish up the 5 entries and print out the best and you are done.

Hello all! Class secretary Muhaimin here! I just got to know that the deadline for the classroom decoration is near February so I am just gonna relax and just study for the tests which are right around the corner!

Remember to study for the Chemistry Test on Monday! Its a 5-10 min test about the chapters that we learnt right until now which are elements,compounds,mixtures etc etc.

We also have the lab period on Monday so bring your cameras! No handphones allowed.

Classroom Deco

Hi all, how's school for everyone today? Muhaimin, Ivan, Chanuja, me and Marc Tang, stayed back after school to do up the class deco, and after 1 session, we have completed 20% of the class deco! Here are some pics:

This pic was done by me, using pencil to draw the outline on the wall first, then slowly cut out colour tapes to paste. Took up a lot of time, and thanks to Marc too, for cutting the tapes for me, saved a lot of time.

This was supposedly to say our class motto which you all should know by now, "Ignite the spark within you". Ran out of colour tapes halfway, so you can see some problems like the "e" of "ignite" is suddenly blue, and that i did not totally complete the whole sentence. Not to worry, the sentence should be completed by tomorrow.

Ivan and Momo did an Ipod thing which supposedly consisted of all our class names i think, will take a pic tomorrow and post on the blog. Now is for the homework:

1) Geography WB pg 7-10. (Requires you to go on the internet to research)

2) Maths TB Ex 1a, questions 5, 7, Ex 1b, questions 1a, 1d, 3, 4 (Do in Exercise Book)

Also about some reminders which Mr Lee told us:

1) Next week Monday, 12 January, start of TfU project phase 1, deadline is on 2nd February

2) Next week Wednesday, 14th January, there will be a TfU quiz

3) 28th January, there will be a TfU test, on Chapter 1

Congratulations to the class on finally finalizing the class tee and the class motto, with the sentence "Ignite the spark within you"! The design for the class tee is done by... Yours truly, me~ Thanks to those who like my design and supported me, although i kinda agree to those who say that the fire part is a bit "o-biang". I changed the 2C logo on the left as you can see, heres a bigger pic:

Anyways, just some notes in school.

D&T theme for this semester is some of you forgot is to make a Diorama on the story of Macbeth, just a scene. So indirectly, D&T and Literature are together, but not to worry as this project may help us in one way or another during our play-acting on Macbeth in the future.

Tomorrow, Ivan, Muhaimin and I will be decorating the class after class so those who want to help, by all means, and those who do not want to, please don't mind leave the classroom as soon as possible because the class might get a little messy...

A reminder to those who forgot their $71 today, remember to bring it by tomorrow!

Hello everyone, since everyone is stating that this blog is dying, lets just liven it up with a post. Though its late but, happy new year to everyone, wishing all viewers a great year ahead with more success and less troubles. Make your resolution, a proper one and follow it! Those who are thinking of going for the I.P program, good luck, work hard and all the best. As the blog title is "Our Aspirations are possibilities". Nothing is impossible when you put your heart into it.

School has reopen so the playing ends and studying is back. Less distraction, more concentration. Secondary 1 is over, secondary 2 is not a year to play with, for some. So overall just have fun, don't get too stressed up while coping with studies and CCA, especially CO members, though now have SYF 09, try your best to cope and not use either studies or CCA as an excuse to slack off. Our first class outing ever!

Hi everyone from 1C! To those of you who were present at our first ever class outing, hope you guys enjoyed yourselves! I sure had loads of fun cycling with you guys and playing bowling together. The only pity is that not everyone was able to make it for this outing. I am sure it would have been more fun if everyone had turned up. The next time, I hope all of you can come. Then it would truly be a phenomenal class outing and it would also be a great time for class bonding and building of class spirit. :) Well, I have started the first class outing, so it is your turn now to plan the subsequent class outings! Think of what you would like to do together as a class and discuss with the rest. It's time to exhibit that leadership quality of yours. :)

Anyway, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ivan and Joshen for setting up this class blog. I think it is really a great channel in which the class can communicate, encourage and share useful information with one another. So, do participate actively and make full use of this blog. This blog belongs to all of you so take ownership. In other words, keep it bubbly and lively~!

Lastly, just want to wish everyone a fruitful and enriching school holidays! Two months is a long time.. so remember, play hard but... study harder~! :) Next year is going to be a crucial and challenging year for all of you.. so stay focused and do your very best. Believe in yourself that you can do it, because in 1C, everyone is a champion. See you in 2C next year! Take care~!

Class Outing

Everyone had fun during yesterday's outing? The photos as requested on the tag board will be posted by Ivan, which I don't know when exactly he will do that.

Basically, we had cycling event first, with the whole class somehow separated a little. Booked for 3 hours, 2 hours with 1 hour free. Cycled around with some rests in between and after some time it suddenly rained and we all got drenched, and we took refuge at the nearby Burger King, where some of us took our lunch there. Had some time of rest there, and everyone soon gathered together as a class slowly in groups. Soon, we had to return our bikes and walked to Marine Bowl for our bowling game. Miss Choo booked 5 lanes for us and we split into our groups on the spot. Had a lot of fun and Mr Lee our Maths teacher suddenly appeared in the bowling alley. The game ended with Hafiz's group in third place, Ivan's group in second place and the Adrian's group in first place. Prizes were given out with pictures taken too. Thereafter, the bowling game ended and everyone left for home happily. This post shows an overall of what happened during the class outing, hope that there will be another one soon~.
